Biologica specializes in the identification of marine and freshwater invertebrates for environmental monitoring studies. Our company founder has worked on benthic monitoring projects since 1971.

Our biologists combined have over thirty years’ experience working in conjunction with a broad spectrum of interests. We have completed projects for pulp mills, mining companies, sewage outfalls, governmental organizations, museums and university research groups. Biologica has processed and identified samples from throughout the Pacific basin, B.C., Alberta, the Northwest Territories and overseas including Sulawesi and New Caledonia.

Our fully-equipped facilities include microscopes, computers, cameras and a full range of field collection equipment.

Our data presentations include identifications to the species level where possible under major taxon groupings (annelida, crustacean, mollusca, insecta, etc.)
